I don’t know what the heck happened.
I was just bopping along for my entire life, wearing makeup like it was any other day, when BOOM, my eyes started reacting like crazy to any type of mascara. Now, I love the way that black goop makes my eyes pop, but I’m not particularly fond of the itching, watering, and burning eyes.
I’ve tried countless mascaras to try to figure out which ones don’t give me a reaction, and have narrowed it down to three. Here’s what they are:
Best splurge: Limitless Lash Lengthening Mascara by Ilia
Perks: Doesn’t smudge, gives incredible volume, washes away easily
Cons: Very pricy, tube cakes up over time
Best bang for your buck: Bye Bye Panda Eyes by Essence
Perks: Beautiful lift, non-smudging, wand shape grabs every hair
Cons: The older the tube, the more crumbly it gets
Best mid-level: Lash Slick by Glossier
Perks: The least irritating mascara I’ve come across, easy application and removal, very natural and pretty
Cons: Not a lot of volume (it won’t give you WOAH lashes), product seems to dry out fairly quickly
