Beauty loving Canucks will be heartbroken to learn that U.S. cosmetics retailer Ulta has scrapped its expansion into Canada, due to slowed momentum from COVID-19.

Ulta’s breakthrough into Canada had been highly anticipated for years, but after the economic turbulence caused by the pandemic, the company is shifting its focus back to U.S. operations.

Ulta has 1,200 stores in the U.S. and carries a range of both drugstore and luxury beauty products. Many locations offer in-house beauty services, such as a hair services, makeup artistry and brow grooming.
Canadians can still shop Ulta online.
